Production 3- Beginning Shots

Today is officially the start of my vacation as I am going to California to visit some family. I thought this was a great opportunity to think about the beginning of my film and decide if I need any shots from the airplane or the setting I was going to. I took a few shots from the airplane taking off, in the sky, and the taxiing. As soon as we landed, I could tell that the weather was not super clear, so it wasn’t a good time to take any shots. Throughout the trip of going to visit parks I asked myself if I needed any footage from here in my film, but I did not. I wrote down a list of shots that I still needed from when I fly back home. I needed a clip from the monorail and of the plane landing. Thinking about the clips I immediately had a great idea of what I can include on the clips when I’m importing it into the computer to edit. I am thinking of including transitions in premier pro to put the airplane scenes together as it will flow better.

  Overall, I am very proud of the work that I have accomplished. I worked hard to get everything just right throughout the whole filming and editing process. The film is an adventure film and creates suspense throughout the beginning of the film and I am hoping the audience can follow along. I am hoping that the plot of the story is understandable throughout the entire movie.

Production 5- Key Frames

Today is the first day that we are receiving help with using premire pro and it was a great help to me. Although I only had a couple of clips and not the complete film, I was able to add text to the shots and also learned what a key frame is. When wanting to add effects to the video or the text you have to put key frames of when you want it to start and stop. At first it was confusing as to how the different effects worked out but, in the end, we figured it out. I spent some time figuring out how I wanted the words to slide across the scene, and I decided for the first clip to include the title of the film and have it zoom out and fade as the clip is moving. For the clip where the plane is taking off, I decided to include the rest of the credits, such as the producer maybe even come up with a company name and include the rest of the characters.

Post Production 2- Review

 I decided to take one final look over my. movie if there is the need to make anymore corrections. I included subtitles in only one clip to give emphasis to what she is saying. I am satisfied with the work that I have accomplished and I put hard work into completing this portfolio project.
